Science Behind the Project:
Mixing citric acid, soap, and baking soda together does not form a chemical reaction. When water is added to the mix, a reaction occurs in which the carbon dioxide gas is formed in the chemical reaction, causing foam to rise in the bowl. We challenge you to adjust the amount of citric acid and baking soda in order to create just the right amount of foam to completely fill the bowl without spilling over.
